An entrepreneur based in Indianapolis, Indiana, John Huntzinger is the founder and owner of Agricultural Chemical Solutions, Inc., the largest privately owned pesticide company supplying corn and soybean farmers in the United States. John Huntzinger founded the Indiana-based company in 1997 and has successfully managed it for over two decades, reaching more than 3,000 customers and over $100 million in annual sales. The company has a presence in 42 states and a rich product portfolio of over 500 packaged chemicals.
Before founding Agricultural Chemical Solutions, Mr. Huntzinger served as the developer of Champion Lake Development in Indiana in 1989. This was an upscale residential development centered around a man-made competition ski lake. The residential area was a former home of slalom skiing world record holder Nate Smith, who has held that world record in slalom since 2013.
Mr. Huntzinger graduated from Purdue University with a BS in agricultural engineering in 1984. An avid water skier, Mr. Huntzinger founded the university’s Waterski Team while attending school and went on to win the Mark Wiggs Memorial Jump Award five times. Besides waterskiing, he also enjoys snow skiing and scuba diving.
